Sawn Timber

About

Sawn timber can be used for many different applications and is supplied as either the finished product or for further processing.  Its end use is determined by the customer and the grade of timber that is purchased. 

 

Species.

We supply sawn timber in the following species:

  • Pine (Redwood)

  • Spruce (Whitewood)

  • European Larch

  • Birch

  • Douglas Fir

 

Countries of origin.

The supplying country of origin depends upon the species and quality required.

We currently supply timber from:

  • Czech Republic

  • Germany

  • Slovakia

  • Sweden

  • Finland

  • Estonia

  • Latvia

 

Dimensions.

We offer sawn product in a variety of dimensions.  The smallest section size is 16 x 75mm and the largest 350 x 350mm.

Lengths also vary from 0.9m’s to 12metres.

Grade.

Scandinavian and European grading rules apply to all our sawn products depending upon the country of origin.

 

Moisture content.

We can offer sawn material as:

  • Unseasoned

  • Kiln dried

  • Heat treated to ISPM15 (heat treated to 56°C for at least 30 continuous minutes throughout the entire profile of the wood, including its core)

  • Dried to a specific moisture content as requested by the customer

 

Treatment.

Material can be supplied with or without preservative treatment.

 

Logistics.

We can supply material:

  • On a direct load basis shipped directly to your address from our partner sawmills via truck

  • Delivered to a UK port ready for your own collection

 

Certification.

All material is PEFC or FSC® certified.
